Introducing NoteCat

Say hello to NoteCat

NoteCat Team•October 28, 2025

Hello World 👋

Welcome to the NoteCat blog! Since this is our very first post, we'd like to introduce ourselves.

We're Cody and Harris, also known as Tunks. You might know us from a few other Discord bots we’ve built, including sesh and Votonic.

While we work on those projects, we spent a lot of time voice-chatting in Discord. Figuring out next tasks, solving problems together, and then... forgetting everything we said. That’s why we created NoteCat.

What is NoteCat?

NoteCat records, transcribes, and summarizes your Discord voice conversations. Just invite NoteCat and run /record. You'll see a live transcript as you talk, and when you stop recording, you’ll get a clean summary of what was discussed. There’s also a web dashboard where you can play back recordings, view or share transcripts, and export your data.

How we're using NoteCat so far

Besides meetings and project discussions, NoteCat has turned out to be surprisingly fun for gaming sessions too. Sometimes folks in my server will see what we're chatting about in the live transcript, then get intrigued and join in on voice themselves. I love to see the summaries of our goofing off together, they're more entertaining than you might expect.

Stay Tuned

We have a lot more coming soon. NoteCat is just getting started. Thanks for being here at the beginning.

Have questions or feedback? Join the NoteCat Discord, we'd love to hear from you.
