A New Dashboard, Chapters, and Recording Stats
NoteCat has a redesigned dashboard, automatic recording chapters, clickable references, recording stats, and web-based questions.
A big NoteCat update is here!
🧠A Redesigned Dashboard
The dashboard now has a new sidebar that makes it faster to switch servers, open recordings and settings, and check your current plan.
We also added Dark Mode, available from your profile menu.
📑 Chapters and References
NoteCat now automatically divides recordings into chapters, making longer conversations easier to explore. Select a chapter from the transcript or audio timeline to jump directly to that moment.
Summaries also include inline references. Select one to open the supporting transcript and seek the audio to where it was discussed.
📊 Recording Stats
The new Stats tab breaks a recording down at a glance. Every server sees the headline numbers: total words, number of speakers, talk time, and overall pace.
Premium and Pro servers get the full breakdown: who talked most, activity throughout the call, frequently used words, and Awards, a row of playful superlatives like Chatterbox, Marathon, Speed Talker, and Interrupter for each recording.
Server admins can disable recording stats from Server Settings.
💬 Ask About a Recording [Premium]
Premium and Pro servers can now ask questions directly from the recording page. Answers are based only on that recording's transcript and include references back to the moments they came from.
Questions asked on the web are private to you, while questions asked with /ask in Discord are still posted in the channel.
🔧 Other Improvements
- More natural, readable summaries
- Better audio controls, including 15-second skipping and time remaining
- Transcript timestamps now show time into the recording instead of the time of day
- Improved transcript search
- Relaxed
/ttsrate limits (you can now use it more frequently, and 10x more with Premium/Pro) - Auto-recordings can no longer be Private because they don't have an individual creator to grant access to. When Private is the server default, they use Channel visibility instead.
- Cleaner recording lists and mobile layouts
