New update dropping today!

πŸ”Š Text-to-Speech in Voice Channels

You can now use /tts to have NoteCat speak a message aloud in your current voice channel.

If used during a recording, the TTS audio will be in the final recording as well as transcript. You can also use it even if you're not currently recording, just as a one-off command.

πŸ€– Recording Other Bots [Premium]

By default, NoteCat ignores audio from other bots in the voice channel. In this update, we've added a new setting for premium users that allows you to enable recording of other bots.

If your server uses music/tabletop/soundboard bots or any other bots that you want to be preserved in recordings, you can now turn this setting on. Find it in Server Settings -> Bot Recording on the web dashboard.

There are two separate settings:

  • Record Bots captures audio from other bots
  • Transcribe Bots includes bot speech in the transcript

πŸ“– New /help Command

We added a new /help command for getting started with NoteCat. It includes a quick-start guide, a list of available commands, and buttons to open your recordings or the manual.

πŸ”§ Other Changes

  • Added a Retry Summary button when a finished recording has a transcript but the summary didn't generate.
  • Improved recording pages so the recording initiator's name and avatar show more reliably, even if they never spoke.

That’s it for today. Let us know what you think in the NoteCat Discord!
