How to use /tts in your Discord voice channels

Use /tts while you are in a voice channel to have NoteCat speak a message aloud.

You can use it during an active recording or as a one-off without starting /record.

How To Use It

  1. Join a voice channel
  2. Type /tts
  3. Enter the message you want NoteCat to say
  4. Submit the command

What Happens

  • If NoteCat is already recording in your voice channel, it plays the TTS audio into that session
  • The spoken message is included in the final recording
  • The TTS message also appears in the transcript
  • If there is no active recording, NoteCat joins your voice channel, speaks the message, and disconnects shortly after

Requirements

  • You must be in a voice channel to use /tts
  • If NoteCat is already recording in a different voice channel, you need to join that channel before using /tts

Limits

  • Messages are limited to 500 characters
  • /tts has a short per-user cooldown to prevent spam
  • Profanity filtering is applied to the message before it is spoken
